Cell Libraries

　　The CIC provides several cell libraries to educational institutions as these libraries are essential for Cell- Based and Mixed-Signal IC design. These cell libraries, which can be utilized with several advanced process technologies, are categorized into three groups, namely, standard cell library, I/O cell library, and memory cell library (memory compiler).

　　Table 10 lists the cell libraries provided by the CIC in 2007. For those libraries, the function model, timing model, power model, and physical layout work closely with EDA tools. Since the fall of 2003, professors have been able to apply these libraries for educational purposes via the CIC web on-demand service. The procedures for library application are the same as those for EDA tool application. Figure 39 shows the distribution of applications in 2007.
