Hotline Service
To provide academia with EDA software and a design consulting service, the CIC adopted a single contact window and a hotline service for consulting services on June 1, 2004. The IC design and software environment questions are answers by consulting the CIC engineers using the hotline service. The sole duty of these engineers is to provide the consulting services and answer questions. By using this hotline service, the CIC provides academia with real-time, certain, and direct technology consulting services. Table 13 presents the hotline service statistics. In total, 2438 consultations were provided in 2007.
